After looking at a recent secondhand Physical Media sale in town, a rare French EMI LP cover sighting of Nipper, "La Voix De Son Maitre"/"His Master's Voice."
EMI once had the European rights to Nipper, while Nipper was the canine mascot of the Victor Talking Machine Company and famously after the 1929 merger of Victor and the Radio Corporation of America, RCA/RCA-Victor throughout North America.
EMI classical/opera releases throughout North America (via EMI's 1955 purchase of Capitol Records, which ended the decades-long exchange/partnership between EMI and RCA/Victor) would have had the EMI/Gramophone Company "Recording Angel" mascot in place of Nipper, under the "Angel Records" imprint.
