Windy period ahead-wind gust potential (in knots). Used the same HRRR run from now out till Mon. 2PM. I start at 30 knots (~55k/hr.) & up. The wind really "fills-in" as this winter storm deepens, lot's of 40-50knot gusts. Scale is on top-in knots, 1 knot=~2k/hr. #onwx #onstorm

Video

Aft. run of the HRRR has snow moving into SONT ahead of a warm front (~2-8 cm of snow) lesser amounts to the S. Slight risk of patchy FRZN drizzle. Pressure gradient will tighten,-so winds will become strong/gusty. All the "real" winter storminess will be in NEONT. #onwx #onstorm

CZANC Update:
Transit has suspended all routes because the roads are a mess.

I have neither seen nor heard a plow yet, which isn’t helping matters.

Motorists seem to be driving to conditions, though, which is good.

The AccuView Weather Window’s AccumuLedge is showing that we’ve received one inch (2 cm) of snow thus far, and busses are now switched over to Snow Routes. We knew that was coming.
Also #6 is skipping Cumberland completely because of conditions.

View out the window showing the slightly reduced visibility. We can see several blocks up the hill, but not clearly the farther you get.

Crone Zone Action News Couch reporting the arrival of the pile of snow predicted. We’re hearing from correspondents that the 115 is utter crap, so go slow and drive to conditions.

AccuView Weather Window showing moderate to light fall at the moment. It is windy, though.
