The access to OS maps via the Bing maps API at dev.virtualearth.net/REST/V1/Imagery/Metadata/OrdnanceSurvey has finally died, as announced by MS. It's all moved to Azure, and OS maps might not even be there - see learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answer...

Teaching OS map symbols? Great fun activity idea. Ask students to imagine they own an island which they would love to live on. Get them to draw it but only using OS map symbols. They love this and it allows them to explore symbols in detail.
