The queen of hearts (left) all in red holds a wand with a red heart to the throat of Alice (right) dressed in purple. I just read of the use of purple and its societal and political implications. Red of course is about power, purple is about loyalty, and a few other traits.
Traveled by train to Chicago to see good friends and attend the Joffrey Ballet's "Alice in Wonderland." Excellent time w/friends + excellent performance, sets, costumes, music, oh and the dancing too.
