A Melt the ICE hat knit in a mystery fingering yarn—it never had a band the whole time I’ve had it, I think it was from a huge bunch of quality yarn I got from freecycle a while ago. Now on the needles, an MtI in Briggs & Little Tuffy in Brick Red. OH NO CANADIAN YARN WHAT HAVE I DONE BAD AMERICAN BAD 🙄🤣

A red 85/15 Blue-Faced Leicester and silk top, dyed a lustrous red, hangs from a spinning wheel made from PVC pipe and a wheelchair wheel, a Babe's Fiber Garden Fibe Starter from about 20 years ago. The top is by Abstract Fibers here in Portland. My normal spinning weight is DK at most, usually closer to fingering or sport, so having it turn out bulky no matter what I do is weird.

The first few rows of a British health vest, pattern from the late '40s I think, which is listed as unavailable on Ravelry, so I don't know where I got it. Weird, because I got it in the last couple of months. It's tough knitting; it's almost 100% k2tog yo, and for some reason that k2tog takes a frustratingly long time. A Sea Glass top under construction, draped over a basket in a cubbyhole. It’s knit of every conceivable shade of sock yarn scraps, featuring magentas, purples, yellows, grays, blues and reds. I don’t know if it’s going to fit; I started it 30 pounds more ago. I guess I’ll keep going…?
