The findings support the importance of regular colonoscopies for early detection and removal of polyps, particularly for those over 45 or with family history. In Australia, where bowel cancer is a leading cause of cancer deaths, these results highlight the value of programs like the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and tailored follow-up schedules to mitigate risks from concurrent cancer pathways.
