After a protest, take care of yourself:
💧 Rehydrate, you probably walked miles.
🍎 Eat something nourishing.
💬 Debrief with friends, share what felt powerful and what felt heavy.
🛌 Rest. Movements are marathons, not sprints.

Self-care keeps the fight going.

#ProtestTips If you are unfortunate enough to encounter tear gas next week....Don't touch your eyes. Some agents have crystals in them. If you don't have water to flush your eyes face the wind to help tears form & wash it out. DONT WEAR CONTACTS. Wear swim goggles if possible.

Protest Safety Tip: Always have a buddy.
Whether it’s making sure someone knows you got home safe or watching each other’s backs in the crowd, no one should protest alone.

👥 Tag your go-to protest buddy.
📌 Save this for your next action.

🔥 Going to a protest? Crossing a U.S. border? Use a burner phone.

Cops, Feds, or ICE can seize your device—even without a warrant.

No personal data = nothing to exploit. 4/

Full Description:
This is a stylized digital illustration in dark beige and black tones, reminiscent of woodcut or printmaking. Two ICE officers are shown:

One officer holds a smartphone prominently in the foreground, looking down with a serious expression.

The second officer is walking a detained Black man away in the background, his hand firmly on the man’s back.

Both officers wear tactical vests labeled “ICE” in bold block letters.

The art emphasizes state power and surveillance through stark, detailed linework and body language.

Pee in their squad cars if you get arrested! They can't press charges and the car has to be out of commission for the rest of the day! #pissincopcars2020

A crossed out graphic. The original graphic is titled the sit down wave and it encourages protestors to sit down silently together if violence breaks out. There's a red 'x' over this image and the added words, the police don't care and will arrest you anyway

Text A lot of people who've been to protests, especially in the last several years, are saying sitting down when things start to get chaotic are bad for several reasons.
1) Tear gas is a powder and settles more concentrated on the ground.
2) If violence breaks and half of you are sitting and the other half start running, you can get trampled.
3) The police will arrest you anyway.
4) The alarm has already been sounded but people are being effing kidnapped and sent to prisons in countries they're not even from. It sounds like something Nazis do cause it is something Nazis do and fighting fascism by being nice with it doesn't work.

Why the sit down graphic is bad.

I thought everybody had heard by now but someone on my FB posted it unironically today. Some people still unaware.

And listen, that's ok, we're out here doing our best to get you up to speed. We want protestors to be safe and not trampled.

3/🧠 Why it matters:
Even with GPS off, your location can still be tracked via cell towers.
Your Bluetooth can be hijacked.
Your Wi-Fi can be spoofed.
Airplane Mode = shutting the door on invisible intrusions.
