spring is the season earth's heart thuds
as bees begin to bite at blooming buds
rainfall ravaged rivers in raging floods
fawns frolic freely for fiending studs

weeping willow whisper in the wind
long branches rustle entwined in sin
another spring and the buds begin
tempting bees to nestle deep within

while sticks and stones hurled at her fears
green-eyed monster sheds crocodile tears
but nothing satisfies the red white and blue
like treading all over the bodies of me & you

for this earth we've filled with junk

The tree’s whisper
slithered through the wind,
its voice ancient,
woven with the night’s secrets.
"I know you," it hummed,
its branches swaying,
"You’ve walked this road before.
The stars watch,
but they do not guide.
You’re caught between what
you seek and what you fear.

stomach is tied in a knot

The car raced forward,
yet every mile felt
like it was sinking deeper.
Freedom whispered
in the distance,
but with each breath,
the driver felt more trapped—
caught between the exhilaration
of escape and the suffocating
weight of inevitability.

trapped in molasses,
its wheels groaning
under the weight of time.
The driver’s eyelids sank,
heavy as mountains,
each blink stretching into infinity.
The very air felt thick,
as if sleep itself had taken control.

keeping us in gravity

sliced through the clouds,
strong and commanding.
It held the crossing in its grasp,
steady and unwavering.
The light blazed like
a watchful protector,
pushing back the storm,
guiding the car through the
chaos with relentless strength.

a narrow expanse rose,
the only way forward.
The car's headlights sliced
through the darkness,
racing toward the
suspended stretch,
its only escape from
the rising flood below.
Thunder roared,
