So what really happened in Castrovel's prehistory, barely remembered in the Lashunta's oldest legends, to spark this interspecial war? How could a barely bronze-age collection of nomadic clans with a talent for communing with trees and hunting-lizards overthrow an ancient, advanced, eldritchly mighty civilization? Personal Note: much as I'm grateful Paizo included Serpentfolk, I feel like they lack something compared to D&D's Yuan Ti. They just had something so spectacularly abominable in their complex makeup, leaving everything else seem hollow. Ah, well. There's a reason I love homebrew.
