Write your first drafts shaggy.
Let the dialogue ramble. Over explain the plot. Start scenes early and end them late.
Do whatever it takes to keep those fingers moving and those pages filling.
Rewriting comes later. In your first draft give yourself permission to just write.

#scriptsky I delivered a new draft of The Devil’s Cut to the prod team today. I’ve been dreading this rewrite. I was asked to add Lovecraftian beings and increase the body count. I was afraid I would loose the treasure hunt vibe. A month later, I have pulled off a solid integration. Please clap.
