Photograph taken looking down at a pair of opened mussels shells in the shape of a heart on a sandy beach. The shells are pale grey and deep brown. The sand is dark beige and mid-brown, some areas smooth whilst others are scuffed. Image was taken at New Brighton beach on the junction of the River Mersey and the Irish Sea. Lovely beach with a dramatic lighthouse and passing river traffic to watch. Worked out of Liverpool sometimes and the office had a great view of the river. Once saw the disassembled legs of what looked like an oil rig being transported slowly by boat up the river. Quite distracting! Great city, amazing people and generally a lovely part of the world.

12 stones and a shell arranged in a 3 x 4 grid. A blueish striped stone, a greenish black and white shell with stripes across it, a small white chalk coloured pebble. A s orange and white stone with a hole in the centre, a slightly larger orange stone with a hole in the centre, a white stone with orange markings. A grey stone with a hole in the centre and a smaller black stone wedged into the hole, an egg shaped stone with a brown crackle pattern, an oblong orange pebble with a curved vertical mark in the centre. A white stone with a hole that doesnt go all the way through, a small grey piece of flint, a grey oblong stone thats smaller at the bottom and larger at the top.
