SmallHD’s PageOS Monitoring Tool Adds Fleet Control, Portrait UI, and LUT Downstream Controls __If you’re a current (or, perhaps, prospective) user of SmallHD’s PageOS monitoring tool, then you’re likely going to want to check out this new firmware update that is set to significantly expand what this monitoring software can do for your lighting setups. Set to bring new features and a more streamlined interface overall to this unique software user experience, the 6.3.0 update version for PageOS aims to give more powerful tools, a more streamlined workflow, and an unprecedented amount of creative control over your SmallHD monitors. Here’s what you need to know. * * * ### SmallHD PageOS Update As we’ve covered in the past, SmallHD’s PageOS system got a pretty major upgrade already when the _company rolled out the PageOS 6 version_. However, while this isn’t another major upgrade of this level, this 6.3.0 update does add some nice new features and functionalities that filmmakers and cinematographers will likely want to check out. The biggest new features will include Fleet Control, Portrait UI, and LUT Downstream, all new functionalities that should give some pretty advanced levels of control, which you won’t find with many other monitors. In particular, the Fleet Control App will help users keep their productions in sync, whereas a new Portrait Mode will allow users to rotate their tools and menus to a vertical layout. Users can also lock the UI manually or let the monitor automatically detect when it is rotated. Downstream LUTs will be another helpful upgrade, which will allow users to send graded looks directly from your 4K Production Monitor to other downstream devices, so the entire crew sees the same creative intent without needing extra converters or gear. ### Price and Availability As was the case before, SmallHD PageOS is a free software that is usable with pretty much all SmallHD monitors (_here’s a full list_). From a single computer, users can adjust tools and page layouts, manage color workflows, share or mirror pages between monitors, save and load configuration profiles, and perform firmware updates all through a streamlined network connection. Plus, every function operates over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, which should eliminate the need for SD cards and allow users to manage their entire monitor fleet with speed, consistency, and precision. All actions are performed over the network—no SD card required. ### How to Download To get started, users only need to follow these steps: 1.
