I couldn't get the article from Variety to load. There's a 40 minute video included. I loved hearing their voices and sincere mutual respect. The subtitles are awful, but the transcript is accurate.

C’est pas terrible #SmashingMachine, biopic sportif sans saveur, tout ce qu’il y a de plus classique, avec tous les passages obligés et un The Rock à fond Oscar Bait pour se racheter une respectabilité hollywoodienne. Ce qui est inscrit sur le carton final n’est jamais ressenti.

#SmashingMachine biopic sur une star du MMA selon la tradition américaine, travail, réussite, descente aux enfers et rédemption. Les 2 acteurs à contre emploi sont bons. C’est joliment filmé mais 2 gros problèmes : montage pénible et musique explicative qui coupe l’émotion. ⭐️⭐️
