That smile on my face? When I’m here, it’s there. A gorgeous late chromer in tight quarters. I’ve never hooked a fish under this bridge but this one made up for it with no fewer than six spectacular aerials.
Steelhead fishing tiny tribs in moss-green forests.
A quick early morning look back upriver. This view never disappoints.
It’s been a pretty incredible past few weeks. Back and forth to Oregon, fishing up and down the coast, closing the winter lodge. The conditions were outstanding but the bite was a bit slower. The sheer beauty and diversity of the area never ceases to amaze.
