Would the Ukraine resistance have been as effective without Twitter? Perhaps no. It has given Zelensky, the government, the armed forces, the people, the allies, a platform to deliver/store relatively durable messages directly to the world. And it has been masterful.

I think if we started referring to these extremist groups as the GOP paramilitaries, as the armed wing of the Republican Party, we'd see more movement from the establishment to disassociate. The loss of elite permission would be a good start to dealing with them.
