#OnThisDay in 311 AD, Roman Emperor #Diocletian passed away. Known for stabilizing the empire through his administrative reforms, creating the #Tetrarchy, and his persecution of Christians, he transformed the structure of Roman rule. This marble bust is now in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum.
