Yall when the thermometer reads about 98F here in my #garagegym, I *feel* it. Everything feels harder, anything with lots of hip hinging or bending over makes me reel when I stand up, and it feels like rest timers have to triple to get me even 80% of the way back to Ready state. 🥵 🫠 #texassummer

Texas Prepares for Potential Record-Breaking Summer Despite Improved Power Grid Reliability Texas anticipates a potentially record-breaking hot summer, yet concerns about widespread power outages have significantly diminished, according to grid operators. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) reports a substantially reduced probability of emergency grid conditions this year. This improvement is largely attributed to a substantial expansion of solar power generation and battery storage solutions. Since last summer, the Texas power grid has welcomed over 9,600 megawatts of new capacity, with the majority stemming from renewable energy sources. While natural gas-fired generation has seen a slight decrease, solar and storage capabilities are now instrumental in meeting peak demand throughout the state. ERCOT asserts that the grid’s reliability is currently at its highest level, however, addressing long-term energy requirements remains a complex issue, particularly as climate change intensifies, bringing hotter and less predictable summers. “You gotta feel it — It’s electric!
