Friend & myself watching 1978 Robert Powell version of #The39Steps
It’s an inferior version of the story*. But at least they got the Monoplane right.
*None of the films stick to the book. But the Robert Donat & Kenneth Moore versions have a wonderful charm to them

Thanks Los Angeles Conservancy for the amazing screening of #the39steps at the historic United Theater on Broadway-- the interior has big Sagrada Familia vibes. The movie is the template for not only so many Hitchcock films but also for movies in general.
