Top: A digital drawing from 2016 depicting trees on a hill covered in flowers, clouds in the blue sky and the sun behind.
Bottom: A digital drawing made in 2025 based on the above image, this one appearing much more realistic and immersive because of the colour, shading, lighting and perspective techniques that I’ve learned over the years. This new version has a trail leading up the hill to the tallest tree and beyond, as well as a bird in the sky and a small creature on the trail.
Top: A digital drawing made in 2016 showing a sunny beach scene, there is a palm tree, two lounge chairs (one pink and one purple), a yellow parasol with a seagull on top and another seagull in the sky.
Bottom: A digital painting made in 2020 based on the above drawing. The yellow parasol is now smaller in the scene and the seagull is still there, but the flying one is not. The lounge chairs are now towels under the parasol and there are now five palm trees instead of one and there are distant hills in the background.
Top: A digital drawing made in 2016, an attempt to portray a distant cloud pouring with torrential rain in a grassy landscape.
Bottom: A digital painting made in 2025 based on the above image. By applying perspective and rendering techniques, the whole piece is much more realistic and closer to what I originally imagined.
The rain appears distant but is clearly approaching, this time over a forest with a winding river, the dimming sun rays are forming rainbows as it reflects off the rain. There are floating islands being struck by lightning and flying creatures in the distance.
Top: A digital drawing made in 2016 showing a tornado under a shelf cloud spinning over a lake surrounded by grassy hills.
Bottom: A digital painting made by me in 2020 based on the above drawing. Using shading and perspective techniques I learned over the years, the artwork is more immersive and realistic. The tornado appears distant but still close enough that the roar could be heard, though it is no longer directly above the lake, which is now in the foreground along with several pine trees. The tornado is swirling up dust as two bolts of lightning strike around it.
