Natalie doing abomination was easy. Her purple slime accidentally looks a lot like abomination goop. I had Lindy do illusion. I was thinking about Emira and Edric using illusion magic with their appearance and it felt right that she’d enjoy that. And! Illusion is a lot of the tech in the owl house (think Gus’s dad) and Lindy acts as a guy in the chair. Spite was hard. I landed on Beastkeeping because of her interest in animal welfare. And construction because she just wants to hit people sometimes. Elias was also fairly easy. I made him oracle because in his real story he’s undead and has related powers. But I also made him healing because his powers are typically used in a restorative way.
This group (the villains) was harder. Ick is potions because of course she is. What she does is experimentation with the planet’s natural magic in a medicine way. In that same vein, I made Thomas construction because he does what I k does, but with machines. Zed was tough. I thought about making him abomination because his wraps of choice is gauntlets, like Amity’s. But he doesn’t really do anything else abomination-y. Then I went to construction because gauntlets. But it still didn’t really fit. I landed on oracle because he fights with a gos as his patron, like Natalie. (Not making Natalie oracle was intentional) And finally Venus, the hardest of them all. There was no good fit considering her power is acid. I landed on plants thinking there was some nature way she could do it. That’s my best. Sorry girlie.
Highly recommend drawing your ocs as witches and deciding what tracks they would be on. Very fun 10/10
