Protesters are visible across the street and on the same side of the road as the Townsend entrance sign to GSMNP. Most of the leaves are off the trees as it is very late fall. It is also raining, the road is wet and there appear to be shallow puddles along the road. The temperature outside was in the low 40s, cold enough people wore layers and were definitely braving cold, wet weather.

3 protesters joined us today all the way from Cocke County, along with their puppy Jack. One gentlemen is leaning against his car, holding the dog's leash.
