Mirror Lake in the Uinta Mountains of northern Utah. Sitting at 10,050 ft elevation, Mirror Lake is 53.4 acres and 36ft max depth. On a still day, its mirror reflects the beautiful boulder known as Bald Mountain and the tall lodge pole pines that surround it. The average snowfall has been 11ft or more, however recent years has been less.

The image was taken in August, and although it is summer, there is still some snow on the ground.

Still some snow up on Deadhorse Pass in August! The view down to Deadhorse Lake in the Uinta Mountains is absolutely breathtaking. This is one of my favorite hikes. ⛰️
