Last week @unsociable-lapwing.bsky.social and I had 5 days in Norfolk and the unexpected happened.
Thought to be extinct in the county, at Great Yarmouth we saw 3+ Lejops vitattus hoverflies including a pair in cop!

I've always liked hoverflies but im starting to obsess with the ones coming to the garden with 2 migratory ones in the last 2 weeks both relatively common but not many records locally to me in Stoke-on-trent. #hoverflies #ukhoverflies
