Yesterday I washed and chopped up a couple garden beets and their greens outside and had both for dinner. 🍽️ 🌱

Repotted my little big man (blue Java banana) today.
The cavendish we planted in ground died back (visible here behind the Java) so I want to see if there is any difference leaving him potted long-term because ..so far so good.

Elegant clarkia. Honestly, not my favorite, and it is such a prolific re-seeder that it’s practically a weed. But it’s also a great pollinator plant, and it can make a nice background fill-in for a garden bed. #nativeplants #gardening #zone10
