A white and grey rock face, heavily colonized by golden-green mosses, has a vase shaped clump of white-furred Hart's Tongue fern fronds unfurling from a crevice. They are very fuzzy at this stage to protect the light green young fronds from insect and slug predation (one bite expands to be a huge lost chunk of mature leaf), which makes them extra cute. They tend to unfurl in a way that evokes sets of eyes, to the pareidolieic mind. The latin name of the fern is Asplenium scolopendrium.
Furry croziers unfurling, making bashful little wall-e eyes along the seepage zone of the mossy rock face.

Asplenium 'Cobra' 「コブラ」と命名されたのがよくわかる葉先のシダ植物（湿度30％台が続いたときの多めの水やりで根が傷み腐りを起こしてる気がします…）

波打つ葉が特徴的な、鮮やかな緑色のとても固い葉のシダ植物です 黒い毛が密集してるような中央部分にかすかに2つの新たな葉が見えてきています
葉が成長しています 成長しきっている緑色の葉の根元付近の茎の中心は、黒に近い濃い色をしています
シダ植物らしい巻いた形状がわかりやすくなったので角度を変えて撮影しています 秋の陽射しだと昼の直射日光も大丈夫になりますし成長も早くなります
遅れて出てきた3つ目の新たな葉も目立ってきました 空気が乾燥してきたので蒸れによる根腐れの心配も減り、水遣りがしやすくなりました（真夏時は週に3度ほど葉に霧吹きし、株元への水やりは2週に1回程度です）
