The hand of experience holds out several green oval-shaped fruits of the Australian Kakadu Plum tree. This Northern Territory native fruit (Terminalia ferdinandiana) is the world’s highest source of Vitamin C, an essential nutrient rich in antioxidants. Not only is Vitamin C a valuable dietary supplement, but is also involved in tissue repair and building collagen; which plays a role in wound healing and anti-aging. As well as having outstanding Vitamin C content, it is also rich in iron and Vitamin E. Its round light green fruits can be eaten raw or made into a jam or paste and is also sold as a powder.
