A pair of Canada geese in flight close to the ground. They are very close to each other and both with their wings up in flight. The one in the back is slightly ahead of the other. The geese have black heads and a long black neck. There is a white bar under the chin and the belly is also white. The tail is black with some white spotting. The rest of the body and the wings are a light brown.

A Canada Goose flies low over a river, moving from right to left through the frame with both wings angled downwards. This is a large goose with a black head and neck, a creamy white chin and breast, and mottled brown back and wing feathers, darkening towards the flight feathers. Its bill and legs are black.

Three goslings in the grass. Two of them are in the front with their bodies facing forward and their heads turned toward the left. The third one is behind them with its body mostly covered by the two in front and it is facing right. They are Canada geese but do not have the adult markings. They are downy with light fur and dark black beaks. The cheeks that will eventually turn white are a lighter color than the rest of their heads. They are surrounded by grass.

A Canada goose and gosling in the water. A Canada goose is in the water with ripples around it. It appears to have just dipped its bill in the water to have caused this as the ripples start just below is neck. The goose has a black eye and bill, and the front of its face is black. Behind its eye is a white strip that gets larger toward the bottom of its head. The neck is all black and its breast and underside are white. The wings are varying shades of a mostly light brown and the end of the tail is black. It is being followed closely by a gosling, which is a fuzzy yellow with a light brown or gray on its back. They are both moving left with the goose at center and the gosling at the far right.

About image: three Canada geese I fed a few days ago! The photo was taken by me and edited by me. There's a soft pink edit over the photo! ~ Awareness: Hey, thanks for reading this. I wanted to share a little something that happened when watching these geese. Two people approached the geese, one of them holding their phone as if recording. It's okay to record wildlife. Yes. But what the other person did is what absolute pissed me off beyond my sanity. One of them approached the geese, got in these birds comfort zone, and looked as if they were going to try and touch/grab the geese. Do not do this. These geese had no intentions of harm towards the humans in the area, and they didn't even get aggressive when the person approached. The person in the car with me rolled down the window of our vehicle and asked what they were doing, to which they left without fully disturbing the geese. Reminder: respect and be respected. If you can't realize that wild life is similar to humanity- that you do not touch someone without their trust or permission, you do not have real respect. People say geese are mean, but we need to look at them from all angles. Stop trying to provoke geese, and don't get in their space. These birds are territorial at times, maybe, but they want to be able to live peacefully, not in fear of giant things on two legs walking up to them and possibly hurting them. Please do not do like this with animals. Never disrespect nature for views. That is how you actually get attacked by the geese. Leave them alone. Do not be near them if they have children. Do not hurt or scare them for fun.

Canada goose, standing. by Brian Longfield Acrylic on canvas 21.75โx 16โ 2021 . . I shot the reference photo for this acrylic painting in Omand's park This Canada goose was standing on the ice on the Assiniboine River with a large group of other geese. I got lots of geese photos, but this is one of my favourites. Iโm pretty happy with how the head turned out and the feathers across the breast. This is also one of my favourite abstract backgrounds. I like all the patterns I use but Iโm most partial to triangles.
