A bright yellow-green butterfly with brown, white, and black markings is perched upside down on the underside of a leaf, which is a very similar bright yellow-green.
Do not rotate your screen – this beautiful little dude decided to hang out upside down.
I believe this is a Bamboo Page butterfly, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, fans of entomology.

A butterfly chrysalis just about to break open – so we can see the vibrant colour of the butterfly it contains. This one has yellow with black markings, possibly a rice paper butterfly, but I'm not entirely certain.
Another butterfly chrysalis. This one somehow looks metallic and is highly reflective. It is a greenish gold with black lines and marks. Almost alien looking. Nature is truly incredible.
A couple more chrysalises for #ButterflyWeek. Not sure why these seem to have much less appeal than their open-winged counterparts, but I find them awe inspiring- so here they!

A monarch butterfly is clinging to it now empty chrysalis. He will stay there until his black and orange wings are completely dry and he can fly away. They are no longer crinkled so he looks just about ready to go.
