Today it's 43 years since #DoctorWho Castrovalva Part One was broadcast. Here's something I haven't put online before. The biggest TARDIS set the series did. Designer Janet Budden used every bit of stock scenery, and then made some more... 'Now, ordinary spaces....' #CGSets

Here’s one of the studio sessions for #DoctorWho The Deadly Assassin, recreated in CG! Panopticon, cloister, museum, and the Chancellery. The secondary TARDIS control room was constructed right in the middle, and struck overnight… #CGsets
And with that, The Five Doctors, and Season 20, was completed!
...And our journey through CG recreations of *every single #DoctorWho studio session* (phew!) from Sep '82 to Mar '83 is over.

A CG recreation of the Tomb of Rassilon set. Several wide buttresses surround a central and elaborate bier, on which a red cushion lies, ready for the body fo the ex-President. A small transmat booth is visible in the background, and a five-sided obelisk in the foreground contains ancient symbols.
The Tomb set doubled as the foyer of the Tower too, with the chessboard motif painted on the floor covered by Rassilon's tomb. 'Try it Doctor, it's as easy as pi!' Also, a nice glass shot added in a painted upper level. #DoctorWho #CGSets 8/9
