A Hard Richard (after Shakespeare, Lennon, & Sellers) Now is the winter of our discontent, And I've been working like a dog. In the deep bosom of the ocean buried., I should be sleeping like a log. Grim-visaged war hath smoothed his wrinkled front; But when I get home to you, To fright the souls of fearful adversaries Will make me feel all right. But I, that am not shaped for sportive tricks, You know I work all day To strut before a wanton ambling nymph, So why on earth should I moan? I, that am rudely stamped and want love’s majesty You know I feel okay. And therefore, since I cannot prove a lover, Everything seems to be right.
