Wild Wistonia ("Bugle Flower") - two apricot-coloured blooms are contrasted against the blue NZ sky with the green of a line of trees along the horizon. LOVE. I carefully walked up a slight incline to get this photo up-close, hearing the soft crunch of vegetation beneath my jandals.
This photo, and the others in this post, were from a walk in Long Bay Regional Park about three weeks back. It was too windy to walk on the beach proper (I didn't bring along a heavy enough jacket that day, and the temp was sharp), so I took the inner path parallel to the shoreline, something I'd not done before. Was hugely rewarded with so many flowers, and plants, and trees, and blue sky, and green, and...ok, I'm an old hippie chick : ) Simple joys, eh!
A single yellow Capeweed flower sings to the sun, rising above the dense green grass below as if to say, "I'm HERE!" : ) I see you, you beauty.
The happiest little patch of yellow clover flowers nestled in deep verdant green grass.
Teeny tiny, itsy bitsy purple geraniums snuggled into their blanket of green leaves.
