The ides of March cake I made for a party a few years ago. Fondant Caesar lies on the mosaic floor with blood around him. His sandals fell off in the attack. The lettering is Kai su teknon - what he probably said, and maybe a curse. It’s on a white plate on a blue carrier on a wood table.
The cake was filled with blood orange curd that oozed as you cut it. It was a great success. Here it is served on a glass plate on a white table.
