When we got our 17th foster, Cortado, last Oct he was pretty stressed out. He loved cats, but was very scared of people. He liked playing with toys, and eventually we were able to put him if we came up slowly. After months we was adopted a very patient person.

Cortado was adopted today by a very nice person who understands his shyness and will love him. It happened quickly. Always a bittersweet time as you're so happy the foster gets a forever home, but you miss them. This is a photo of him at his new home.

Cortado has come a long way in just under two months. Instead of hiding in the corner and hissing, he's now up on the bed and allowing pets. He's still easily startled and may never be a lap cat, but he's comfortable at least.
