In the center of the picture is a deep green shrub with hundreds of large leaves. The photo doesn't provide much in the way of proportion but, partially hidden behind the left of the shrub is a 6 ft (1.8 m) tall wooden gate. The average height of the shrub is approximately 5 ft or 1.5 m and at least double that from end to end. There are no flowers on this shrub as it blooms at night and the picture was taken during the day. Behind to the right is a cement patio with a full grill on it that looks rather small next to the shrub. The plant is butted up to a house.
Here is my sister's #moonflower plant for the next post in #foliagefriday. You may know it by Angel's Trumpet. We had these growing in our planters growing up, but they don't grow as well anymore at our childhood home. This thing is 5 ft or 1.5 m tall. #nature #photography #Texas #cultivated #shrub
