No DRBC in Feb. I’m still in mourning. (Truthfully the patio space is a mess and we are still delinquent on the shed. Someone had to run for office in Feb.)

The middle aged man with the long blond ponytail holds a can of beer that appears to contain Santa Rabies based the scary Santa face on the can. Oh! Some good news! Turns out we forgot we had a house guest staying in the basement. Usually it’s a bit of a party foul to padlock the kitchen door & dabble in the dark arts to secure the perimeter, but fortunately gothacists love the sound of a good arcane ritual on a dark & stormy night. It turns out that if you give them a cozy bed, endless tea & snacks & a pile of novels with women in white nightgowns fleeing from ominous mansions on the cover they’re very very happy to be left the hell alone for several weeks. Whew.
Day 19 of #ALXbeercember in which we managed to obliviously miss #DRBC. Guess it’s a change of pace from the last 6 times, when I’ve spent all day sure we’re gonna make it & then some random thing goes pear-shaped at the last minute. Here’s @fishinnards.bsky.social with Friday’s beer.
