A young fox cub is jumping up from the green grass with his front paws raised up and his head thrown up in the air as he has just tossed a stick upwards and is waiting to catch it on it's way down again. This cub has a mottled rusty-orange and grey coat, with a grey chest and a white star shape in the centre. The two cubs get more playful every week. Their play is all practice for hunting of course. I think these two are going to be very successful and play an important role in their environment!

The image is predominantly green, yellow and orange, with tall meadow grasses in dappled shade. A three month old fox cub is walking through the grasses which are taller than him and help to keep him hidden from casual glances. His coat is a more muted shade of rusty orange compared to that of an adult fox, and is peppered with greys that also help to camouflage him. He has a white tip to his tail and well defined black, facial tear markings that run all the way from his eyes to the base of his muzzle.
