An image of Brenda Romero, Director Theresa Loong and John Romero during a shoot for the documentary about Brenda called Game On
This photo means a lot to me. It was taken during a Game On shoot with Brenda and John Romero, people whose passion, generosity, and creativity left a lasting impression on me.
This film is a labor of love. It’s about creativity, courage, and what it means to build a career — and a life — in an industry that doesn’t always make space for everyone. Making it has reminded me why these stories matter, and why preserving them matters too.
We’re getting ready to launch our Kickstarter, and before we do, we’re hoping to reach 800 followers on the project page by February. Following doesn’t cost anything. You’ll be notified the moment we go live. It makes a huge difference in helping the campaign succeed.
If Brenda's work inspires you, if you care about the future of games, or if you believe stories like hers deserve to be told, I’d be so grateful if you’d take a moment to follow Game On on Kickstarter and share it with someone who might care, too.
Thank you for supporting indie films and games, and for helping us bring this story into the world. Theresa
