Taken from a small cove adjacent to #JamestownSettlement in Virginia. I was just getting back into photography and had only a small point and shoot HP PhotoSmart camera. Given the right conditions, even basic cameras can take nice shots.

Photo of cooking by sailors on their way to Jamestown in 1607. They stopped in the Caribbean for supplies. Here an iguana is roasting on a spit while a stew is cooking in a large flat iron pan suspended over the fire. The James River is visible through the trees.
Foods & Feasts is a 2 day celebration of historical cooking from the 17th & 18th centuries at #JamestownSettlement and #AmericanRevolutionMuseumatYorktown. Starting the day after Thanksgiving (today) & continued tomorrow. #jyfmuseums.org
A glowing unicorn near a blue pool on a hillside. The Unicorn is life sized, and homemade from packing tape
A tree spirit and a faery & sparkling lights line the pathway to the ships
A large inflatable dragon, green with a purple stomach.
A homemade faery (packing tape, human sized, purple & blue wings) glows in the dark alongside her tree home with a door & window on the tree. Glowing flowers & mushroom are around her and a jack-o-lantern carved with a faery.
So grateful to @simsarah.bsky.social for making me a magical spooky soundtrack for my enchanted forest pathway for Family Frights, a trick-or-treat event for kids at #JamestownSettlement museum. Faeries, dragons, tree spirits, unicorns - such fun!
