The horizon is a circle around you but what’s the shape of its perspective view, which is what we see on a photo?
Unless you happen to take that photo from a spacecraft, it turns out to be a hyperbola. #geometry

A purple, pink and blue sunset in the desert. 1/3rd of the right side is a sandstone rock face. It looks in some ways as the profile of a face. A larger section midway up the rock can appear as a nose. The foreground is dark and silhouette and in the sky are whispy clouds bathed in color. Against a dark blue white sky.
