I'm not sure how old he was meant to be, but I would place him at roughly around 20-21. Design elements are taken from his earlier design in the comics, as well as his original appearance in the show and aspects of soldier uniforms from The Nguyen Dynasty.

He was changed the most to deviate from Japanese character design to fit more into his Vietnamese origin, same as his brother.
