#octoberhorrormoviechallenge #31horrorfilms31days 🎃 #day16 - #coloroutofspace Based on the short story of the same name by #hplovecraft From what I read on Wikipedia on this story, this adaptation is more close to it than The Curse with Wil Wheaton in comparison. Sure they both have the same premise, but The Curse felt like a different movie, was worse in comparison, felt unnecessary mean spirited to Wil Wheaton's character & from what I've read both he & his sister (who was also in that movie) were abused on that set & that's just horrible & wrong! Fuck those assholes responsible! Apparently this movie was part of a planned Lovecraft trilogy with Dunwhich Horror as the next movie adaptation, but it got cancelled when director #richardstanley was accused of domestic abuse & the production company Spectre Vision cut all ties with him. I've no idea If those accusations where true or not and it seems that Stanley is still gonna make that Dunwhich Horror movie after all, according to imdb at least, and it's gonna be a two parts movie. Stanley did a pretty good job with this one (despite some obvious CGI effects here & there) & I would like to see his version of Dunwhich Horror.
