tried LDN three times over the past seven years
and just cannot make it work well
definitely NOT a cure and has side-effects
and I think #LDN blocks stress adaptations (from exercise)
instead now trying low-dose dextromethorphan (DXM)
doesn't address same problems
but seems to help prevent #PEM

I’m still on my lower dose of 1.5mg at the moment and things are definitely settling. Unlike at 3 & 4.5 mg I’m not getting the exacerbation of my insomnia, despite high family stress at the moment. Also, this time of year is my normal annual big crash. Overdoing it

Dickson Chemist has changed the formula - slightly less viscous - forming some larger than intended drops from the liquid rolling down the outside of the pipette.
I tap the extra back into the bottle, then dose as normal, still checking each drop size by eye.

I cycled a 19km round trip this afternoon to do some blood tests at one of the big hospitals.
Technically it was on an ebike but the e-assist was so patchy that I was cycling acoustic for most of it (might be a pedal sensor issue?). Definitely worked harder than I intended! 😰

#LDN update 7 (I think 🫣)
It was definitely the right move reducing my dose from 4.5mg to 1.5mg. I really tried to stay at 4.5 but the insomnia got way too much. I’m now back to sleeping. Not just sleeping but sleeping better than normal. I can tell the meds are still working, though

Gibt’s hier noch andere #ME/CFS Betroffene, die beim Einschleichen von #LDN bei jeder kleinsten Erhöhung (hier nur immer um 0,1mg, bin jetzt bei 0,8mg pro Tag ) erstmal eine Woche lang im Crash sind?
Es ist so mühselig, ich schaffe das nicht mehr. 😭
Hatte so Hoffnungen in dieses Medikament gesetzt.

Week 6 #LDN update
So just over a week at 4.5mg and I’ve had to rethink. The medication is working but the side effects are now too great and I need to reduce my dose. I was starting to have some insomnia issues at 3.0mg but in the last week at 4.5 mg I’ve had the equivalent of one nights

Week 4 #LDN update
A bit late with this update. So I’ve had a little crash this last few days. Probably over did it before Christmas and then relaxed too much over Christmas. Still, it was the best, most enjoyable Christmas I’ve had in decades. And I’m still feeling better than my baseline

Anyone using LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) to mitigate Long Covid syndromes such as MCAS/histamine sensitivity, PEM, pain, and panic?
It sounds promising from what I've read. I have an appt. scheduled to discuss it with my doc & would like to hear first hand experiences.

Still feeling the benefits, especially taking into account I’ve had a bug followed by a chest infection. I’m clear of the bug, but the chest infection is still lingering.
