With the sun setting, our jeep headed for park exit on our last safari on our last day in southern Africa. We were in Botswana, the northern neighbor of South Africa.
We came upon a line of jeeps all parked on the side of the road. That means someting major has been spotted. Our driver found a spot, and we looked across a clearing to the edge of the forest. I soon notice motion in a tree. A leopard! Then two others. They came out of the forest into the clearing. I saw that it was mother leopard and her two cubs. She's on the rim of the hole looking to the left. I kept shooting with both my cameras. Eventually they crossed the road and back into the forest through a gap in the jeep line. I was so excited, I forgot to remove the polarizing filter from my lens, which explains the very brown quality of the picture.
When we got back to our hotel room, I danced a jig for nearly an hour!
