Körper in Berlin und Herz in Israel - Psychische Reaktionen von Diaspora-Israelis auf den Krieg und mögliche Bewältigungsstrategien
Der untenstehende Text ist ursprünglich zwei Tage nach den Massakern des 7. Oktober 2023 auf der Webseite der hebräischsprachigen Telefonseelsorge MATAN (in Trägerschaft von OFEK e.V. und ZWST) erschienen. Angesichts der aktuellen Eskalation im Konflikt zwischen Israel und Iran veröffentlichen wir eine deutsche Übersetzung des Textes.
Die unfassbaren Ereignisse in Israel in den letzten Tagen erschüttern uns alle, hier in Deutschland, in Berlin und weltweit. Sie sind traumatisch für alle, die sie direkt erleben oder erlebt haben – das ist eine bekannte und viel diskutierte Tatsache. Weniger bekannt ist jedoch, dass ein Ereignis auch für Menschen traumatisch sein kann, die es nicht direkt miterlebt haben. Diese Erkenntnis ist besonders bedeutend für die Diaspora und Israelis im Ausland.
Was ist ein traumatisches Ereignis überhaupt? Es handelt sich dabei um ein extremes und unerwartetes Ereignis, das die körperliche und seelische Unversehrtheit bedroht. Das bedeutet Unsicherheit, Kontrollverlust und eine erschütterte Grundsicherheit (zum Beispiel das grundlegende Vertrauen, dass Menschen gut sind, dass unser Zuhause ein sicherer Ort ist und dass es Systeme gibt, die uns schützen).
Der Krieg und die Gewalt sind traumatisch für alle, die sie direkt erleben oder erlebt haben – das ist eine bekannte und viel diskutierte Tatsache. Weniger bekannt ist jedoch, dass ein Ereignis auch für Menschen traumatisch sein kann, die es nicht direkt miterlebt haben.
