A dark night view under the starburst glow of a lamppost. A leading line of a handrail along a paved path to the right, and late Autumn foliage and fallen leaves of dark oranges and browns on the left. The handrail stretches into the distance and curves gently to the right following the path, down a slope, before it disappears into the dark. While the lamp light is really bright in the near vicinity, a tiny speck of light - the other side of a dark stretch of path downhill - is visible as the next lamp in the distance. The gravity of this light in the dark becomes stark when you learn this path is part of a 200-step switchback climb up/down a cliff face in Saxony, Germany - a frequented โshortcutโ from the train station below to the hotel on the cliff-top.

It starts with a few sea stacks not far from the beach. Native American legend has the maiden (near the left edge) staring out to sea - can't remember the actual legend, but she was tossed there by some bad guy. That's supposed to be her kittens (or puppies) also drowned near her part of the legend. It took me awhile to recognize the *Face* in Face Rock - until I realized she was lying down, staring up at the sky. I happened to catch some cool lighting one day when the sky was streaked with Marine Layer (fog?) near the horizon, with a blue stripe above, then some streaky white clouds above it all.

Waves upon waves... first there's the streak in the sand where the wave left a maker of where it had been, then it's some wild surf backlit by the sun low in the sky.
