Red rhododendron Nova Zembla just beginning to bloom. The cluster of flowers is open at the edges, still budded at the center. The deep red bloom is surrounded by pleated hosta leaves dark green at the edges, lime green at the center.

Orange broom in bloom. The plant is 5 feet tall, has long stems covered in tiny leaves and in many small fiery orange flowers.

Iris Haunyed Heart looking beautifully spooky in shade. Standards appear dusty cream-grey-pink, falls appear soft light purple heavily lined with purple. Purple beard and dark at the hafts (base of the lower petal). This large iris can vary in color with temperature and can change as it blooms, but is always beautiful.

Two clusters of the blooms of double geranium Rosalee. Flowers shade from light at edges to darker pinkish salmon at the centers. Buds are round and cream colored. I had never seen a double geranium, so this is a prize for me. Bought it at my farm share-nursery.
