New #MusicAssistant beta has dropped. They are making some UI changes that look good. They also added the ability to change the sync intervals for providers, which will be very helpful to make some sync things happen more often than every 12 hours.

Har fått igång #homeassistant och länkat den med #musicassistant . Men jag kan inte söka musik från HA appen utan behöver styra musiken från MA via en webbläsare.
#MusicAssistant now supports playback directly in the browser, which means I can listen to my local media on Plex while out through a VPN. It doesn't have the best buffering but it works decently well as a beta feature.
The full Reality Bites OST is not available on most streaming platforms
Now that I've been using #MusicAssistant a lot, I'm realizing staying with Tidal isn't completely necessary anymore. I went with it because it's the only Spotify alternative that can control Sonos speakers from an Android device.
It would suck moving again though.

Found out I can select all the songs from a Spotify playlist and add them to a Tidal playlist in #MusicAssistant. It's a little slow, but it works!

Hmm, I've had this odd issue with Sonos and #MusicAssistant twice where the Sonos speakers are unavailable in MA. I then open the Sonos app and see a "Sign In to this system" message. Once I do, the speakers show up again in MA.

Getting Voice Commands to work with #MusicAssistant has always been tricky.
Today I was trying out the blueprint and script posted on this github.
I tried Option 2, but it kept failing with an error about "an unexpected character". Option 3 also had the same error.
Oh I hasn't realized that the #MusicAssistant PWA shows up as a media player on my Pixel. That's cool.
Even trying to create a playlist is a chore because many songs are unavailabnle. Thankfully #MusicAssistant comes to the rescue. This is what I use to play music from Tidal at home lately.
Put a ripped copy up on Plex and now I can play it from MA
Both blueprints enable you to play music assisted by an LLM, so you can say something like "Play the album which has a baby in a swimming pool swimming towards a bank note on the cover"

I've been using #MusicAssistant for a while to listen to my #Navidrome music collection over my Chromecast speakers. However, I only recently learnt of the song radio and Don't Stop The Music features, which are a great way to explore my music collection.
One day I'll figure out a sane way of using #MusicAssistant & #HomeAssistant with multiple users.
As in, User A has access to Sources Y, S, L but user B only has access to Y and L.
But then you add #VoiceAssistant into the mix and things go squirrely :S
