I didn't come across them at all until #MusicTwitter around 2021. One of the most incomprehensibly underrated bands ever. Absolutely brilliant - I wish I had known about them in the 80s 🖤

1. There are albums that are so special so wonderfully crafted. They operate on a different plain to most other records. This is one of them. Full of aching despair, love, destructiveness and life. Perfectly formed.

If I could ban one word on #MusicSky that's migrated from #MusicTwitter it would be "groundbreaking".
The most lazy, overused word ever. There's probably no more than 20 artists in 🎶 history who've been truly "groundbreaking"- and 80s synthpop and 90s Britpop doesn't contain any of them, lads 🤣🙄
