#OnThisDay in 1968 – As part of its world tour, #DallasTornado defeated hosts #Fiji, 10:2, in a friendly that was played only 60 minutes due to 100-degree heat, in Suva. The crowd of 3,000 saw Chris Bachofner notched a hat-trick (3 goals) for #NASL club.

This would almost mirror the succession plan as when Cherundolo was hired, having previously been HC at Las Vegas Lights when LAFC had control of the playing operations.
Dos Santos has achieved success in the #USL-C and #NASL previously, too, would be nice to see him get this opportunity.

Only 4/11 teams hanging on, 3 of those in #MLS. Of the living, only Vancouver & TB still carry the same club name (TB of course had to spend 2 years as "FC Tampa Bay" due to IP issues).
TB is the sole lower division survivor from this period.
