My set-up for a crafting stream, with wooden chairs at a dining table against a beige wall. All 8 baby chicks in a big dog crate with a box around the bottom for the bedding. They have food, water, and a stick to roost on as well as a heat lamp to stay warm at night.
The girls come home in less than 2 hours from school, so I checked on the chicks and gave them some more food, too, before laging down some more. Heres the new setup. They got too big for the brooder box but still too cold outside at night for the coop.
